Product feed/file requirements

These are the requirements that your feed must meet so that our Onboarding team can carry out the implementation successfully.

1. If you are a retailer

  • Required fields:

    • Product code (it can be internal one or EAN, MPN, REF, SKU…, but must be unique and static)
    • Title
    • Photo
    • Price (tax included or without tax but adding a Tax field)
    • URL
    • Brand
    • Categories
    • EAN and/or MPN and/or GTIN and/or REF
  • Optional fields:

    • Price Tax
    • Tags
    • Stock
    • Other attributes (will be parsed as tags)
  • Extra fields for Google Shopping feed exporting:

    • Google Shopping categories
    • Shipping configuration
    • Other Google Shopping optional or custom attributes
  • You can use as product feed:

    • The product feed you send to Google Shopping
    • The product feed you generate from the CMS you’re using (Magento, Prestashop, etc.)
    • A custom product feed prepared by your developer

Attention! The feed must be dynamic: this means it must be hosted on a URL or any FTP, and it must be updated on a periodic basis. Also, the format must be XML, CSV or JSON.

2. If you are a brand

  • Required fields

    • Product code
    • Title
    • Photo
    • Price (MSRP Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price)
    • URL
    • Brand
    • EAN and/or MPN and/or GTIN and/or REF
  • Optional fields

    • REF (Product reference)
    • MPN (Manufacturer product number)
    • Tags (Product category, one or more for each product)

Attention! The products' file can be in a XML, CSV or JSON format.

Once you have started using the Netrivals tool, you can add and delete products manually if you are a brand. Learn how to add a new product to your catalog directly from the tool.

FTP Server - Guide

If you need to change the info in your data feed regularly, we can set up a FTP server for you. This way you will upload the data feed file in the server, and we automatically will catch that data (by default each 12 hours) and update it in your platform.
